Gifts for Teens

Finding just the perfect gift idea for a new driver is somewhat challening. Actually, I was looking for a gift idea for a 16 year old and my thought went to something she can use knowing she will be getting her license. I ran across a number of fun new driver kits and driver safety kits that is a great gift idea for a teen as well as many other people on gift lists.

One of the kits was the Safety Girl Kit. Safety Girl Emergency Kit is filled with fun roadside emergency essentials...and chocolate. Who can't use a piece of chocolate when they are stressed out. The cute packaging and emergency and non-emergency type supplies make it a fun gift for a teenage new driver.

I also found on www.abernook.com a variety of gift ideas for a new driver including a few keychains (Angel Keychain and Don't Drive Faster than your Angels Can Fly keychain). They had a few different kit ideas including New Driver Kit and a Gal on the Go Kit one being more whimsical and the other more practical.

Besides the driving kits and keychains, Abernook also carries a very nice Sweet 16 birthday bracelet as well as candy and cookie bouquets. Fortunately my search was for teenage girl gifts. Not sure what I will do or find when I am on the lookout for teenage boys.

Lollipops

Don't know what to get someone? Instead of flowers, take a look at lollipop bouquets. These fun and tasty bouquets are great gift ideas to send to congratulate, celebrate or just let someone know you are thinking about them. They are great to send to kids and adults and make fun holiday centerpieces.

The lollipop bouquets have many different themes available. I have sent them as congratulations on making the team (baseball), coach gifts, birthday gifts, teacher gifts and hostess gifts for the holidays. The lollipops are flavored and a little flavor guide is included with the bouquet.

Reminded of the past...

Just this weekend a friend of mine asked me for the name of the company I purchased a t-shirt quilt from. I heard about the t-shirt quilts and couldn't wait for the opportunity to purchase one. As my daughter was finishing her senior year, I began my search for different companies/vendors creating the quilts. My search led me to Deaf Initiatives, Inc.

http://www.t-shirtquilts.com

I began emailing them back and forth and felt very comfortable with sending them our t-shirts filled with memories. They offered wonderful ideas on layouts, send fabric samples for the backing, trim, etc. Then, after they did the layout, the sent a .jpg file to me via email with how the blanket looked for final approval. The whole process took just a few weeks. When the quilt finally came, it was beautifully boxed with a ribbon. I would definely recommend this company to create your t-shirt quilt. They make great gifts for graduations, coaches, sport enthusiasts, or other very special events.

As a side note, proceeds of the sale of the t-shirt quilt through Deaf Initiatives support projects and services which strengthen the potential of the deaf and hard of hearing youth.

In search of Baptism/Christening Gifts

Today my search is for baptism/christening gift ideas for little girls. I was glad my shopping was for a little girl because I didn't come across anything that stood out for little boys.

I came across many different interent sites that had beautiful keepsake gift ideas. From jewelry to other special keepsakes including candles, pillowcases, blankets and shoes.

The Messages of Love Baptism gift is a special bracelet to wear on baptismal day. Tuck away to be brought out again on wedding day.

Findgift had a number of different keepsake gift ideas posted from jewelry to crosses and wall plaques.

Personalization Mall carries a many different items that can be engraved and personalized. I was in a time crunch so although this store had great items, timing didn't work out.

What I finally settled on was a piece of keepsake jewelry and some money.

Today's Great Finds...

If I only knew someone who worked in a cubicle. Found a great gift idea for cubicle workers.

http://abernook.com/prod/pimp-my-cubicle.asp

Put some mojo back into your office. This tongue-in-cheek kit contains everything you need to pimpify a bland and uninspired workspace: a dollar-sign paperweight, gold push-pins, leopard print fringe to run around the edge of your cubicle, a disco ball, and "Bling" mousepad.

Great gift idea for a dorm living college student and or a teenager gift idea. So many teens have their own computers/computer desks. What a fun way to decorate. Maybe it will make doing homework more fun.
